Photo Restoration / Image Innovation Process and Prices: The Fine Print

Process:

1. Contact me about your restoration / innovation: bill@wmiii.net or Contact Form or call 410.652.0046

2. Send your image to me via File Upload Form or email to bill@wmiii.net

3. Make a deposit: Prices & Payment Options are below.

4. Review project progress: Depending on the complexity of your restoration / innovation a project web page may be created where images will be privately posted so that you may review progress of your project. A link to your project page will be emailed to you.

5. View and approve completed work: A link to your completed restoration / innovation will be emailed to you.

6. Make final payment: A high resolution copy of your image will be emailed to you or uploaded to wmiii.net where you may download it at your convenience.

Prices:

Minor Restoration / Innovation $35.00

Moderate Restoration / Innovation $70.00

Major Restoration / Innovation $100.00

Prices are adjusted according to image complexity and size.

Colorization, tinting, adding / removing elements, etc., starts at $20.

Prints, CD copies, shipping and handling are additional.

Any restoration / innovation requiring evaluation, transport or transfer of a physical artifact before work begins is subject to a Consultation Fee of $30.00

A deposit is required to begin work. Balance due upon completion.

A Few Helpful Hints:

While 600 DPI is preferred, 300 DPI is acceptable as an initial scanner resolution setting for images you intend to send to me for restoration / innovation. A lower resolution file will work however a higher resolution file will print with greater clarity which matters if you are considering an enlargement.

Perhaps your original image isn't digital? Send it to me a variety of ways, by US Mail, UPS, FedEx, etc. I'll scan it and then return it to you. If you're concerned about the safety of your original, provided you're within a reasonable driving distance ( of Jarrettsville MD ) I can come to you so that your original need never leave your possession.

Your restoration / innovation file can be shared over the Internet a number of ways. Additionally, you may print it using your computer's printer. If you're looking for a print that's either larger or perhaps of a better quality than your computer's printer can produce, you can take or send your file to any number of businesses that print digital images and photos or if you prefer I can print and send your completed restoration / innovation to you by US Mail. The size, paper type and costs associated with this additional step are not part of the process which is to say that printing and shipping are at an additional cost.
